God Wants Us to Study the Bible
We start a new series this week titled “How to Study the Bible”. God has asked us to study His word; see Psalm 119 for proof. We need to search the Scriptures to give us assurance of what we believe. Let us all be Bereans!

Does it Matter Which Version of the Bible I Use?
Bob wrote an article in Grace in Focus magazine titled “Seven Leading English Bible Translations” where he gives excellent analysis of seven of the translations out there. You can view part 1 of the article here. Which version is the best? Plus, isn’t repentance part of the gospel and what about sin? Jesus took care of the sin problem but we need to repent to be in full fellowship with Him. Bob and Shawn discuss these great questions in today’s broadcast.

What is the Role of Good Works?
According to Ephesians 2, we have been prepared to do good works, corporately. What would our motivation for good works be if we thought we need to do them to retain our salvation or to prove our salvation? Because of the assurance of our salvation, we can confidently live a successful Christian life. Listen to Bob and Shawn’s excellent discussion today.

Are We Guaranteed to Be With God in Eternity?
In Gal 5:19-21, does it say that if believers continue to practice the list of works in the passage, they will not be with God in eternity? What is the difference between being with God and inheriting the Kingdom of God? We are justified by faith apart from works but that is just the beginning of living the Christian life. Listen to Bob and Shawn’s great discussion on justification and living by the Fruit of the Spirit.

Are the “Ungodly” in Psalm 1 Also Unsaved?

Was Caiaphas a Believer?
Can God use unbelievers to prophesy? Could certain Biblical figures who appeared to be unsaved actually have been born-again? Bob and Shawn discuss these excellent questions in today’s broadcast.

What is the Prosperity Gospel?
What is the proper gospel and how is it different from the prosperity gospel? The prosperity gospel says that you are born again by believing in the death of Christ but also that you are given financial prosperity by the death of Christ. They use 3 John 2 to back up their claims, but in today’s broadcast, Bob and Shawn discuss the error in this type of thinking.

Which Bible is Without Error?
Which Bible translation is most accurate? What’s the difference between the autographa (where we get our Bible) and the apocrapha (where the Catholics get their Bible)? Listen to Bob and Shawn’s excellent discussion on versions of the Bible, differences in Bibles, and how we know what to choose.

Is Judgment in Hebrews About Eternal Rewards?
Is Hebrews 10 talking about eternal rewards? Bob and Shawn answer your questions this week and discuss Heb 10:35-39 in its context in today’s broadcast. Plus, do most Christians believe a different gospel and does that mean they are not saved? And how can they be deceived?
