作门徒和分裂的忠心

在 《路加福音》 9:57–62 中,三位信徒都有机会跟随基督。跟随基督是作门徒的写照。作信徒与作门徒之间是有区别的。这三个人有机会行在基督的脚踪里,向祂学习,并在祂的国度里成为伟大的人。 主正前往耶路撒冷,要在那里受苦并被杀。这三个人都不明白跟随祂意味着什么。他们没有意识到作主门徒所包含的艰难。 每个人的情况都不同。第三个人对主说他要跟随祂,但他有一件事必须先去做。他必须先回去向家里的人“辞别”(第61节)。 这不仅仅是简单地说再见。他指的是把自己的事务安排妥当。也许他有房子要卖,或需要指定一个人管理他的生意,还要和朋友们办一个告别聚会——那可能会很有意思。 他并不明白跟随基督的紧迫性。主正前往首都去面对祂的命运。等这个人向熟人一一道别之后,基督可能已经受死、复活,并升到父那里去了。 这个人的态度可以总结为:他的忠心是分裂的。他想跟随这位君王,在祂的国度里成为伟大的人;但他也想确保自己多年经营的事情井然有序。他的心一部分在国度里,另一部分却仍在这个世界的事物上。 主指出这正是他的问题。祂告诉他,人若为国度作工,就不能回头看。他不能一面仰望国度,一面回头顾念自己的家。这就像一个耕田的人却不断回头看一样(第62节)。 主说,这样的人“不配进神的国”。我很难精确地断定主在这里的意思。祂可能指“不能被使用”。若如此,主是在说,当时天国的信息正传向以色列民族;若他回家去处理自己的事务,主就无法使用他。 但这个词也可能是指 “适合”。将来在国度中掌权的,是那些忠心服事主的门徒。他们的顺服使他们适合承担那样的职分。若那人想在基督的国度里成为伟大的人,就不能为地上的事忧虑。 当主讲到撒种的比喻时,祂提到那心像荆棘地的信徒。这样的人听了关于国度的道,却被“今生的思虑、钱财、宴乐”挤住了(路 8:14)。这样的信徒虽然会在国度里,却不能结出成熟的果子。 这个人正是那落在荆棘地里的种子的写照。他想在国度里富足,也想在今世富足。他爱两样。他被呼召去跟随主到耶路撒冷,与祂一同受苦;他应当把心放在将来的世界,而不是爱这个现今的世界。 主今天对我们也是这样说的。
