Reggie White’s Widow Says Death Isn’t Bad If You Have Eternal Life!

In the August 3, 2006 online edition of USA Today, Sara White, widow of the late NFL Hall-of-Famer Reggie White, said: “Some of my girlfriends have asked me, ‘How can you be so happy?’ It’s because I appreciate every single day.”

Sara went on to say: “Death is not bad—especially if you have eternal life.”

What a simple yet elegant witness. She is clearly saying that she knows that her late husband has everlasting life and is now with the Lord. She is also affirming that she has everlasting life and thus one day will be reunited with Reggie.

While Sara doesn’t specifically mention faith alone in Jesus Christ alone as the condition for eternal life, it is probably implied, especially for sports fans who know that her husband was outspoken about his faith in Jesus Christ
